It started with a basement and a dream.

After my husband and I moved into our new home and found an old canning room in the basement, we had the idea to transform it into a darkroom.

Around the same time we moved, I quit my job as a pilot to take care of my health, so we could focus on having a family of own. Going from traveling half the month to being home 24/7, I found I had a lot of extra time on my hands. Film has always been a passion of mine, but with the extra time availableto me, I wanted to try my hand at film developing and scanning.

Here comes that canning room! My husband saw how interested I was in film and all of the care that goes into it, so he took it on himself to totally gut and transform that old scary room into a beautiful at home darkroom.
